My daughter and i were in his room shortly after he was vented on 9/17; on the nurse's white board, were written the words, "GO HOME, Wed, 9/22 ... his death date....
Evidence: Interview Recording
Was not able to be there, so not sure, but doctor never spoke to me except to shame and gaslight me for not making my husband take the shot
My husband and I, after going to a walk-in clinic, went to a Ky emergency room service, both received shots of steroid. My husband was coughing his head off; they did give a cough medicine but took NO XRays! I could not understand that move. This was 6 days in, so on the 8th day I took him to a walk-in where I knew they would help. They wrote orders for Calvin to get monoclonal regeneron at another hospital emergency in Nashville, TN, just south of us one hour. They had the orders but at 8 days in, told me he would not be receiving those orders because he was too far in. I thought that was crazy when I had heard there was a 10 day rule! Yet, I received same after admitting him I was 9 days in! I got this monoclonal regeneron. Although, I did have pneumonia after the monoclonal antibodies 8 days later with temp spikes. So then I was hand-written prescription for Ivermectin. I took that and in three days was stronger and much much better.
It was amazing, so I told the hospital please give this to my husband. I had nothing to lose. They told me, NO they had to abide by hospital protocol! My husband was admitted on Labor Day and put on oxygen. So therefore we text, they told family no one was allowed on Covid floor. We did speak to a nurse at the desk, but it was hard to get any information. Calvin and i texted each other until around Sept.13th, when all contact stopped. He was either really sick, or doped up by then!
We received a phone call that Friday saying he was worse. Before that call they did phone my daughter to tell her his kidneys were failing him. Friday, Sept 17th they ventilated him. On Sept 22nd they pulled the plug. When they ventilated him is when they told family they could come. That was Friday, and of course we all went and had to be suited up. But he was so out of it, we were not able to communicate with him, but we did play his favorite gospel music and loved on him all we could.
When nurse told my daughter he was given morphine to calm him down I knew then I was losing him. This was before they ever ventilated him! He was a strong man had just turned age 62. Healthy as a horse. We were both the same age and married 43 years. Neither of us were on any meds! It is strange to me that when he got tested they put on his papers sinusitis, yet they chose not to give him anything. Not even a ZPak.
This was so fast and was crazy! My husband got all doors shut in his face as we sought help for him! I was traumatized plus sick myself. So when I figured out it our age, I told them I was overweight. I had to get help because I was going to be right behind him. So they helped me get all of the help we asked for, Regeneron and Ivermectin. He got nothing even though we tried at the hospital. Not even an X-ray.
My hard-working husband had worked for CSX Transportation for 20 years, and could keep up with and outwork 35 year olds! All this just boggles my mind. I feel the way he was not given meds and suffered he would have been better off with a bullet to head than how he was treated by staff and killed with the hospital protocol. When I did ask for Ivermectin the Doctor looked down, and could not look me in the eyes. I knew we were doomed! So sad.
