We can't say because they wouldn't let us in for the first 8 days or so. He texted a few times that he wanted food and water. Mom called them about that. They never sought consent from us because my dad was incapable of being his own RP in the hospital due to pain meds and oxygen. They didn't tell us much and they intubated him without ever telling us. They never gave us a chance to say goodbye. They were rude for the most part and dismissive. Once we did meet with the hospital, they advocated hospice which we denied. Once they found out we had questions and concerns, they put us all on information lock down.
In the heart of a global crisis that reshaped the fabric of countless lives, Chris Weedman’s story stands as a harrowing testament to the devastating impact of COVID-19 protocols and the indelible mark left on one family by the healthcare system’s handling of the pandemic. This narrative, preserved within the archives of the COVID Humanity Betrayal Memory Project (CHBMP) by the CHBMP Foundation, unfolds a poignant tale of loss, betrayal, and a family’s fight against a protocol they believe mercilessly claimed the life of a beloved father and husband.
Chris’s account begins with an innocuous family outing to a football game in early September 2021, a day that spiraled into a nightmare as he, alongside his family, contracted COVID-19. In the days that followed, what seemed manageable took a turn for the worse, particularly for Chris’s father. Despite initially mild symptoms, his condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to a desperate and ultimately tragic encounter with the healthcare system.
As Chris navigated the labyrinth of hospital protocols, he witnessed first-hand the stark realities of treatment under emergency use authorization (EUA) policies, including the controversial administration of remdesivir. Despite his father’s resilience, the aggressive and isolating hospital protocols, coupled with the refusal to consider alternative treatments, left the family feeling helpless and ignored. The decision to place Chris’s father on a ventilator, taken without family consent, marked the beginning of the end. His subsequent rapid decline culminated in a heart-wrenching decision to withdraw life support, a moment that Chris describes with palpable grief and profound loss.
The emotional toll on Chris and his family is a stark reminder of the human cost behind the statistics of the COVID-19 pandemic. The sense of betrayal by a system they trusted to protect and heal is a common thread in Chris’s story, resonating deeply with the experiences of many who have reached out to CHBMP. His narrative, imbued with a mix of sorrow, anger, and disbelief, sheds light on the urgent need for accountability and change in the handling of pandemic-related treatments and protocols.
The COVID Humanity Betrayal Memory Project, an initiative by the CHBMP Foundation, has documented and published over 1,000 such stories, with more than 1,300 narratives of grief, endurance, and injustice shared by victims and their families. These accounts, accumulating at a pace that challenges our capacity to keep up, are not merely statistics; they are intimate tales of individuals who faced the unimaginable and are now united in their quest for justice and reform.
This collective outcry against what many perceive as egregious crimes against humanity underlines the mission of our organization. The CHBMP stands as a beacon for those seeking to share their experiences, aiming to halt the perpetuation of harm inflicted by COVID-related protocols. Our Task Force, primarily composed of widows, widowers, and family members who have suffered similar fates, embodies the resilience and dedication necessary to advocate for change.
If you or a loved one has been adversely affected by COVID-related protocols or policies, we urge you to document your story at chbmp.org. Testimony Clips 14
The following clips were extracted from Michael Weedman's recorded testimony interview. Each captures a key moment relevant to one or more of the 25 documented COVID protocol commonalities.
“"I absolutely believe my dad was murdered in the hospital Mhmm. Without a doubt... They violated his civil rights. He he's we wanted him out, and they wouldn't let him out. They violated his medical rights, which are federal laws. These are not just guidelines. These are federal laws. And then and then, I don't know, a little matter of murder, not medical malfeasance, not medical malpractice, murder. If I lock you into a room in my house and I give you a sub a substance that has a fifty three percent chance of causing your kidneys to fail, that is murder.”
“"No, ma'am. We were not. Consent? No. There was failure to failure to obtain consent, and they're screwed on that anyway to go. Again, I have to do the same thing. I know the laws. He is not he was not capable of being his own responsible party. They were required to ask us. They were required to give consent and and and read off the side of possible side effects of remdesivir. Mom's already looked through the record somewhat and that that she said there's they they didn't even bother lying about it. They just didn't document it.”
“"I really couldn't believe that people would watch their parents die through a glass and not break the glass.”
“"And this doctor had the nerve to tell me. He said, COVID's attacking kidneys these days. Mhmm. Wrong shit to say to me, pal.”
“"None of us ever thought he would die. My dad was sixty four, and he was healthy.”
“"And then I I work with hospice all the time. Don't need the help. If I was, I know seventeen people to call.”
