"My mom was very suspicious of it [vax], considering it had not been sufficiently tested."
Evidence: Interview Recording
As specified earlier, I took my mom to Professor Raoult's IHU because I knew she would be properly taken in charge there, in spite of her vaccine status (she was unvaccinated). But I was shocked at the attitude of the medical trainees coming from the hospital next door (La Timone) who did criticise the IHU and their patients. My mom was destabilized by this. And so was I.
My mom was born on 4 August 1937. Before retirement, she worked as a schoolmistress. I am her youngest child. She helped me raise my daughter when I got divorced. My mom and I had a very tight bond.
When the pandemic started, as I knew my mom was a vulnerable person, we took all the measures to protect her. However, the lockdown did cause her to put on a bit of weight, which was not very good. Yet, being very careful, she did manage to protect herself and not catch the virus. When I had COVID, I did not visit her. I would see her from outside her flat and wave at her, and I would phone her. When my daughter had COVID, she also refrained from visiting her grand-ma, whom she loved dearly.
When people started to speak of vaccination, my mom was very suspicious of it, considering it had not been sufficiently tested. She refused to have it. I believe she caught COVID through vaccinated people who visited her during the Xmas holiday. Mom did not have any symptoms until early January.
