Witness Testimony

During the Pandemic I worked and was out and about helping others. I did not get the shot and for years had refused all Flu shots. On May 1st we threw a birthday celebration for my Mom’s 86th birthday as we could not do one the year before for her 85th birthday. Her friends would not come unless they got the COVID shot. We had 25-30 of her friends come who all had received their shots within 10 days of coming, one even came right after receiving her shot and she was not feeling good. I was around all these people, serving but most were out on the patio and deck, but still came inside the house.

I remember hearing my mom tell her church friends when they asked if she got vaccinated, “No, don’t need it, Jesus is my vaccine.” We did not know about the shedding with the vaccine and we all got COVID, except my husband who was there that weekend. He was a medical pilot transporting patients in rural Utah, and never took the shot or got COVID. A week later after having a hard time breathing I went to my Doctors office who has a walk in heath clinic and was diagnosed with COVID and they wanted to get me in the ambulance to go to the hospital but I told them no, and had them call my son to take me. I don’t remember much after my son taking me (he didn’t go in with me as he was sick to but didn’t mention it to them) he also would not let them take a PCR test so he stay out in his car with his cell phone for the hospital.

I remember signing a document that said I did not want remedisver but they later told my husband that they treat that document the same as a DNR. I was given a hospital room and I still could not breathe. Normally this is the time of the year that I get seasonal bronchitis, they would not give me the inhaler treatment and instead just the nose cannula of oxygen. I must have taken a picture of my oxygen monitor machine in the room that read 90% yet I was put on a ventilator. As I said I don’t remember anything but I guess I even called one of my clients and friend who was an ICU Nurse and her Husband who is a VA Doctor to come and get me out of the hospital. They came many times to the hospital while I was in a coma, and helped my husband. It was his idea for the hospital to put me in a prone position.

My family fought for me as the hospital wanted to stop treatments and let me die, they refused saying they didn’t know me and that I would continue to fight to live. They told them to prepare for long term permeant care in a facility. They did not give up, thank God! I later learned that one of my ICU nurses was a past client and she was fighting for me as well. After about 56 days my friend from Salt Lake City talked my husband into using the Lifewave patches by placing them on me . He had to go before the Medical Board to get this approved and they did it on the condition that only he could touch them or change them out. After one week, they scheduled the removal of the ventilator but it was too soon, I crashed and they kept it on for another week, then successfully removed it. I was moved to a private room later and then they transferred me to another hospital the Kindred Hospital (insurance chose this one) and this was a very scary hospital for me.

On the way there my ambulance got hit by a car, Not sure but this may have been when my vocal chord was paralyzed. They transferred me to a second ambulance and we went to the next hospital. They received me but even though we told them I was in an accident just prior to arriving they never recorded that in the records. The ICU unit there was horrible, they covered my windows with paper so they could not see me, they didn’t answer my nurse call button, once nurse responded when I asked to go home, she said if she could she would wheel me out to the driveway and leave me for someone to pick me up. You need to know at this point that I could not walk or move my legs, only had my upper body was moving. One of the nurses it looked like she had Parkinson’s, and had a hard time pushing the screen to dispense my medications, then my nurse friend caught them putting the wrong drug in my IV she quickly cramped the line and got them to change out the IV. I finally was moved out of the ICU and up into the floor. I never slept much especially at night as to to the nursing staff. Someone kept dying across the hall from me and the night nurses I could not understand them very ghetto language. They were rude with any of my requests. All the good nurse and specialist were quitting from this hospital, and I ended up with a traveling nursing staff.

I had a speech specialist come in and he kept asking me about how much money I make. I was so happy when I got moved to Meadow Brook rehab Hospital, my husband choice this one over the one I wanted because they had more physical therapy hours then the other. I learned to stand and walk with a walker, but only short periods. This hospital would not let me leave (even though I had arranged private ambulance to take me to the hospital) to see my dying mother and to say goodbye. They said I could not come back if I left, my Mom never came out of the coma and I was forced to remove her from the life support without seeing her only through facetime and family conversation with Doctors. I kept saying I want the miracle for my Mom just as I got. I was able to attend her funeral but I then was moved to a new facility, Haeger House my original choice and that is where I got better. I worked hard and got to walking up to a football field size distance. They wanted to send me home in a wheel chair and I said no. I pointed to some stairs in the gym and I said teach me to go up the half height stairs and they said no we can’t let you and I said I will do it with or without you. They did it and then I graduated to the full step heights and went home with a walker. I went home the end of October 2021, on full oxygen, 24/7. By February 2022, I was off oxygen during the day and only used it at night for recovery and I was finished with the walker. I am done with hospitals and pharmaceutical doctors. I am only looking for holistic options, and working on getting off my diabetes and blood pressure meds.
